Brothers in Arms is a commemorative campaign that brings attention to the historic alliance between Canadian and Indian soldiers. The project blends emotional storytelling with modern digital design to educate, engage, and inspire audiences. As the graphic and social media designer, I created all visual content for the campaign from social media posts to reels and developed a strategic content plan to connect with people of all ages and spark lasting engagement.

GOAL

The goal was to build awareness of the shared history between Canadian and Indian soldiers, engage audiences of all ages through social media, encourage interaction through posts and reels, and create a consistent, lasting online presence.

PROBLEM

The core challenge was designing a campaign that could connect with a wide range of age groups from Gen Z to older generations while staying true to the seriousness and respect of the historical subject. We needed to present complex, emotional history in a way that felt visually engaging, relatable, and shareable. How do you make people care and interact with a story from the past in today’s fast scrolling digital world?

PROCESS

1.Researched historical context and audience behavior to inform content direction 2.Gathered client feedback and refined designs to align with campaign goals 3.Designed a cohesive social media style using modern layouts and historical textures 4.Created emotional, educational post series with accessible language 5.Edited a short-form Reel Challenge to encourage audience participation 6.Built a strategic content plan focused on engagement and long-term growth 7.Ensured visuals and messaging appealed to a wide age range

RESULT

The campaign sparked meaningful engagement across social media, with the Reel Challenge driving participation and the posts being shared by a wide range of age groups. The visual consistency and content strategy helped Brothers in Arms build awareness and lay the foundation for ongoing growth and community connection.
